Centerpointe Learning Institute CNA Program

Centerpointe Learning Institute, located at 7917 Bruceville Rd in Sacramento, CA, offers a hybrid CNA program designed to quickly and effectively prepare students for a career in healthcare.

The institute provides options for both morning and evening/weekend classes to accommodate different schedules. Students can complete the morning program in 26 days or the evening/weekend program in 42 days.

Program Structure and Curriculum

The CNA program at Centerpointe Learning Institute is divided into online theoretical learning and in-person clinical training. The online portion includes 60 hours of instruction through live lectures, discussions, case studies, and videos delivered via Zoom. Students must navigate through 17 modules, passing each with a minimum score of 80%, and must also pass the final theory exam with at least an 80% score to progress to the clinical phase.

The practical training consists of 108 hours at a clinical facility in Sacramento, where students demonstrate their competence in essential nursing skills through hands-on practice. This blend of online and in-person learning ensures that students not only grasp theoretical concepts but also gain real-world experience.

Technology and Equipment Requirements

To participate in the online theory sessions, students need a reliable internet connection and specific hardware: a computer with at least a 1 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of available hard disk space, a webcam, speakers, and a monitor with a minimum resolution of 1024×768. Google Classroom and Zoom are the primary platforms used, requiring students to have a Gmail account for course communications and submissions.

Program Benefits and Certification

Upon completing the course, graduates are eligible to sit for the California Nursing Assistant Competency Examination. Centerpointe is a state-approved testing center, which adds convenience for students as they can take their certification exam in a familiar environment. The program is tailored to meet the curriculum requirements set by the California Department of Public Health, ensuring all graduates are well-prepared for the examination and future employment in various healthcare settings.
